Need a quick, easy protein fix? Look no further than these delicious Turkey Muffins/Patties! Whether you’re looking to maintain that beautiful physique you’ve got or you’re wanting to shed a few pounds, this is a really good meal option because of the high protein and low fat content! Here at Move Daily Fitness, we often remind our members of the important building block that is protein. This is an easy and tasty way to get that in.
This Turkey Muffin or Patty recipe is a really good base to make a tasty meal. You can add pretty much anything to change the recipe up a little or you can make it just as it is! I really like adding different ingredients each time just to try something different. For example, you can make this recipe and add things like sundried tomatoes and fresh garlic and basil, green onion and red pepper, or add a couple more egg whites! Here’s your chance to get creative or simply use up food in your refrigerator.
Also, when I made this recipe, I baked some and I pan fried some. I preferred the pan fried method because it made the outside a bit crispier and toasted, whereas with the baked method I used muffins cups (so clean up would be easier) which made them less crisp. You could always put the Turkey Muffins under the broiler for the last minute or so of baking to crisp them up a bit. The baking method is a bit easier because you obviously don’t have to sit and watch them.
However you decide to cook your Turkey Muffins/Patties, I’m certain you will enjoy them as I certainly did.
This recipe does have oats and almond flour and if you wanted to omit that, you could. The mixture will just be more wet so forming a ball will be messy – you may just want to scoop the mixture then, rather than form a ball. It is still doable though and will turn out great as well.
The recipe is super easy. Simply put all the ingredients in a large bowl, mix together with your hands and form balls. Choose your method of cooking and enjoy!
