Have you tried the new Sous Vide Bacon and Gruyère Eggs at Starbucks’s recently? I was in there last weekend during my daughter’s dance competition and thought I would try them for a low carb breakfast option. I was actually sitting across from my friend who is a dietician and who had just googled the ingredients. I asked her what her thoughts on the nutrition were and she gave it a thumbs up! I came home immediately and attempted a copycat version.
Let me just say that I have made them 3 times already, and in batches so that we can have them during the week as an easy grab and go snack or breakfast! I love them. You can always leave the cheese out for a healthier, lower fat version. I served it as shown, with the avocado, and I was full afterward.
Anyway, give it a go…it’s always nice to add something different into the routin
Copycat Starbuck's Turkey Bacon and Cheese Sous Vide Eggs
I love the sous vide eggs at Starbucks so this is my at-home attempt and they are delicious!
Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup cottage cheese
- 1/4 cup shredded cheese (calls for Gruyere, I used Tex Mex)
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/8 tsp garlic salt
- 1/2 tsp hot sauce (optional)
- 4 slices cooked turkey bacon -halved
